Matt – The unique thing is what he brings to the table, its quite extraordinary. I mean I know you wont particularly you didn’t know him that much you know I had seen a lot of his images around and I knew he was an uber fashionista you know and obviously incredibly talented and but you’re still not sure how its going to you know and yet so the first time I met him he talked so eloquently and passionately about the project and you know you start to realize that you know this is someone who has a vision and then has to send that idea to hundreds of people to get you know in the fashion world so when he came to the set you know he was extraordinarily prepared and I don’t know it’s a very difficult one to answer but it’s a good question though. What about you Nick? Nick – it’s such a personal story to him that and very similar to his own life and he’s got so many parts of his experiences and yeah you just kind of understand it and he’s very clear and freeing with his direction which is cool. Matt – exactly. |

Matt – pulling off the Navy suit I think I probably found challenging. Nick – No that was not challenging. Matt – I don’t know I think it’s difficult, difficult cause really the scenes that I have there’s a, there’s a point to them they’re sort of banal but there’s sort of this beauty in the banality of his remembrance, remembering the scenes so there wasn’t some sort of you know emotional well that I had to draw apoun uhm so I kind of count myself out of that question but I think I don’t know about you I mean ? you know he’s going through a real - Nick –the connection with Colin and his exper- he’s obviously going through his own growing up story at the same time but he’s he feels a connection with Colin’s character. So that’s probably the thing I was most nervous about just portraying that and just making sure that Colin and I uh ? Matt – And playing American as well Nick – playing American as well but but working with Colin he makes it so easy for you and does such a great job he kind of does your job for you basically. Matt – he pulls it out of you. |
