Sound Bite: Josh Peck --- multiple takes
I think it's one of the advantages of being an actor and feeling like we’re just a different group of people that have been cut from a different cloth. That we’re inherently manic. We’re inherently crazy, because you have to be crazy to be in this business. Especially with something like animation. You rise to the occasion, you have to roll up your sleeves and know it's just plain old hard work. To know and to be brought into this process, I feel lucky because it was one of the easiest gigs I ever got. They had heard my voice on my show and invited me to come hear about the project and I immediately, immediately accepted and knowing that there was a cast of such stature that I was going to be surrounded by was extremely daunting at first, but knowing that youur heroes are usually just like you, I found such solace in fact that I could be surrounded by these people and feel so normal like they really accepted me and that was one of the nicest parts and then just knowing that ice age set a precedent for animation in general and that I wanted the sequel to only be bigger and better as did everyone who was a part so doing that 5th or 6th take that was a total 180 from the first take, didn’t really matter at the end of the day. |

Sound Bite: Josh Peck --- creative voice emotion
Oh, I guess I just think of Eddie as having 10 energy drinks and topped it off with like 30 cups of coffee. And he’s just on 100% all the time and I just wanted to make sure that his bite was always as big as his bark because what he lacks in sacher, he makes up for in machismo. |

Sound Bite: Josh Peck Josh peck --- connecting with the other actors..
I guess that just the part that’s the most inspiring about this whole process is that you sort of have to rediscover parts of your brain that become dormant as you get older and its really allowing your imagination to take over and realizing that when you were 7, 8, and 9 that you were the only person that could keep you company and you were creating characters in your head and building forts in your room and playing with action figures in the bathtubs. So I tried to create a world around myself. And just adapt. |
