Sound Bite: Emma Stone- meeting Adam Sandler
He’s awesome, he’s so funny, he’s got the coolest dog, Matzo ball, that like grunts you like throw her a ball she’s like (snort) getting the ball she’s awesome she’s the loudest dog. (talks) I’m a lucky girl, I’ve been very lucky. I just tried out for the part all theses parts I tried out the normal way. I went in and I auditioned actually but this is kind of funny because I auditioned before this script was greenlit so um I auditioned and I was like oh god I went on a Saturday morning and I was about to go to the beach and I was like this is really funny I got to do a good job on this and I was so worked up about doing a good job on it that I just felt like I did terribly and I walked out and I was like damn I completely screwed that up and then they called me and were like will you come and do the table read it hasn’t been green lit and I was like ok so I went to the table read and um I was shocked and I actually was the only person there that was reading the cast member that I ended up actually getting. Jonah was sitting next to me reading various male roles, yeah it was so funny and another kid was reading Seth and it was so weird and six months later when I actually got the part it had all rearranged and new people. He can really carry a movie can’t he it’s he he is fantastic he is a good leading man so is Seth, like these guys came out of nowhere there like these awesome leading men, yeah.

Sound Bite: Emma Stone- movies with young people
I’d say the thing about Judd’s movies is they lack stereotypes which I really like they lack that kind of this is you know this is Seth’s character in knocked up everyman that’s ever smoked pot. Or this Jonah character is every guy that’s ever been in high school and wanted to get the girl it’ definitely not they’re definitely their own people their own characters and so I don’t think they’re representing every boy in high school and what they’re like I think they’re just kinda representing themselves. I mean we’ve met kids similar to their characters but we’ve never met Seth, Evan and McGlovin. Like these are three guys that really like have their own personalities entirely so I think that’s kinda the whole humor where it stems from.

Sound Bite: Emma Stone- meeting women characters in Judd’s movies
Look at Leslie’s character Leslie Mann’s character in knocked up, like that was fantastic even Katherine Heigl they get in huge fights huge roaring fights she’s like she wants to give this guy a chance but she cant and I think Jules isn’t necessarily being nice to Seth I think she Legitimately really likes him and really wants him to come to the party is very in to him and isn’t using him to get liquor for the party she really likes him but she wants to go about it the right way and I think that’s why she kinda pushes him off at first when he tries to kiss her and everything but I think that they’re very different from that stereo type you know the popular girl and the geeky guy it’s just two people that really connect in their own way
