Description: The film presents 4 white medicine men who have found their life's work in Africa with sacrifice and idealism. One of them is from Frankfurt, Brother Jörg of the Order of the White Father, who builds churches and schools in West Africa with only 4 black helpers. The second is a Baptist preacher from America who holds school and church services in the middle of the jungle of Nigeria. A white medicine man in the true sense of the word is the German doctor Dr. von der Heiden, who has built a modern hospital at the foot of Kilimanjaro. Between the interviews, numerous pictures from their surroundings, their work and the schools, churches and hospitals that have been built can be seen. The encounter with Dr. Albert Schweitzer in his jungle hospital is also documented. An encounter that took place in the last year of the great humanist and philosopher's life.
