Assemblywoman Helene Weinstein whose constituents attend the congregation that was recently defaced talks to unseen reporter. She states she is there on behalf of concerned members of the community to fight anti-semitism and bias of any kind.

After an introduction by the Rabbi of the Congregation, Mayor David Dinkins speaks into the mic and expresses his sorrow for what happened and states it is despicable, and a loathsome act. The swasticka'd doors are behind him as he speaks. He also states the act unfortunately is not unique and that there were 43 incidents of antisemitism reported to the Bias Unit of the Police Department in the first three months of the year. He talks about the Bias Crime Legislationl pending in Albany that he hopes will pass - it would put the force of law behind the voices of morality and justice. He turns to the Legislators behind him and hopes for their help.
