He announces a protest rally to take place at which local political officials and non-Jewish leadership of the community are attending.

After an introduction by the Rabbi of the Congregation, Mayor David Dinkins speaks into the mic and expresses his sorrow for what happened and states it is despicable, and a loathsome act. The swasticka'd doors are behind him as he speaks. He also states the act unfortunately is not unique and that there were 43 incidents of antisemitism reported to the Bias Unit of the Police Department in the first three months of the year. He talks about the Bias Crime Legislationl pending in Albany that he hopes will pass - it would put the force of law behind the voices of morality and justice. He turns to the Legislators behind him and hopes for their help.

Lt. Pearson from 46th Detective Squad speaks to unseen reporter about the arrest of a male Dominican 21 years old, Juan Martinez, for the homicide of an off duty police officer that took place January 31st, 1992. The officer (Serano) was robbed in an elevator by two other people and also killed. Martinez was the driver of the vehicle and is being charged with homicide.
