HOME MOVIES AT CHRISTMAS PARTY & RODEO. RODEO FOOTAGE IS ENDLESS, BUT INCLUDES AN INJURY!; DX MS lady holding arms of toddler/baby as she walks. Lady lets go & kid almost immediately falls over, mom picks her up; DX WS family watching baby attempt to walk on sidewalk (one member is dressed like cheerleader, complete w/pom-poms); DX POV from moving car offield of cows (washed-out & shaky, very evocative of early American Home Movie style). Same w/ buffalo; DX Same seasick-inducing shots from moving car of flat, barren plains. MS cowboy riding horse, chicken-wire fence in FG; DX LS guy in rodeo riding bucking bronco. WS guys open corral gate & guy comes out riding bucking horse, is immediately thrown; DX VAR shots 'wacky' rodeo clown drives out in jalopy that breaks down. He gets out to inspect it & it backfires (genius!); DX LS more inspired rodeo clown hilarity: he pops a wheelie in jalopy & falls out. Car explodes w/clown in it (just kidding) ;DX VAR shots 4 small airplanes doing synchronized flying. LS man parachuting, smoke emits from his ass (must've ate at Taco Bell); DX LS 2 more parachutists land on ground successfully (their asses are smoke-free). LS 4th parachutist lands; DX ELS 5th parachutist...look at the smoke pouring from HIS ass! Must've had a HUGE Cobb Salad for lunch! LS 4 helicopters in sky; DX VAR shots helicopter doing maneuvers in sky. LS F-18(?) taking off, doing VAR maneuvers in sky; INT home, VAR shots very 1960's old ladies hanging around a very 1960's kitchen w/one smiling old man. One lady has butcher knife; INT same, VAR shots frumpy old ladies sit around living room (dark, typical `60's 'home movie' look). Say, nice fondue set!; INT same, (better lit) MS 2 old ladies sit, drink, & talk. Pan from FS Christmas tree to empty couches in living room; INT same, MS lady w/old Polaroid camera does 'crazy slinky dance'. Extremely upsetting. MS lady setting up potluck/buffet tables; INT same, MS old lady (who is since long dead) opening Xmas gift/present, gets snowman wreath (great...has to wait a year to use it); INT same, VAR shots everyone standing in circle looking at floor in center. Dunno what's going on. Reminds me of Rosemary's Baby!; INT same, 3 older ladies standing & laughing, one wearing tiara takes a bow (she must've won the Ms. Menopause Pageant); INT same, Pan-MS of people, who all do take for camera. Ladyon phone in BG looks like she just found out Pizza Hut won't deliver; INT same, MS elderly couple kisses. FS crystal chandelier. DX LS 4 horses (w/ jockeys) gallop toward finish line at race track; DX WS jockey & horse pose on race trackfor camera/crowd. WS jockey & horse gallop by on track, spectators at fence in FG; DX LS horses racing at far end of track, circle around & pass camera. WS jockey & horse (winner) pose for crowd; DX WS guy leading horse away (they shoot them, don't they?) WS chariot races on track (Ben-Hur, it ain't); DX LS horses leaving starting gate. VAR shots jockeys on horses riding around for crowd, posing for camera; DX Pan across EXTREMELY SCARY family (looks like 'Grapes of Wrath' wrap party) staring stoically at camera. I just messed my pants; DX LS horses leaving starting gate. VAR shots jockeys & horses posing. VAR shots horse racing & chariot racing; DX VAR shots at rodeo (buckin' broncs, cowboys thrown, cattle roping, etc). Some rodeo footage is in black-&-white; DX B/W CU old leathery cowboy crooning song into microphone. CU Grandpa Jones look-alike playing harmonica. Good but wobbly; DX COLOR: WS rodeo grounds. WS cowgirls sitting around. Pan across rodeo grounds...check it out! It's No-Face from 'DickTracy'!; DX VAR shots early 1940's cars pulling into dirt parking lot (did everybody drive BLACK cars back then?); DX VAR shots cowboys walking around. VAR shots 'spooked' horses in corral. VAR shots cowboys, some on horses; DX WS 1940's cars (all black) parked in line on empty field. Pan across same. MS Dr. Strangelove's wife on horseback; DX VAR shots kids behind fence watching rodeo. MS guy w/bad teeth approaches camera muttering something; DX VAR shots cowboys/girls ride out onto rodeo ground carrying American flags & such for opening (or closing?) ceremonies; DX VAR shots more rednecks riding bucking broncos & getting thrown on their ass; DX Testament to what 'good fun' rodeos are: VAR shots cowboy on stretcher being put into ambulance! One down...Now on w/the show!; DX VAR shots cowboys & buckin' broncs at rodeo. WS horses go nuts! One horse drags cowboy around by his arm! Cool! Go horses!; DX VAR shot sunder-control rodeo action. A lot of camera lens flare in this section. VAR cattle roping. WS women work snack bar; DX High WS people on horses ride by, wave to camera. VAR shots more rodeo crap. Unfortunately, no casualties this time ;
