Well uh I mean there was a, first of all it was a commitment to the material cause that, that’s exactly what the material this, there was a profound and is a profound love story going on in this book against all odds and they really could, you know both of them really got that and understood that on quite a profound level. And Cody was mature beyond his years which really helped because he really understood it. And uh, and the other thing uh so there was a long process of taking through all of that and getting you know relating it experiences and encouraging them to hang out with each other you know just on there down time and and to keep keep uh Cody the kid you know going. Viggo was teaching him all of the sword moves from you know Lord of the Rings so you can imagine for Cody how exciting all of that was. And then of course being out in the elements 80% exterior, 50 locations, the middle of winter you know that intense you know and that became being in the real thing and surrounded by the real thing it became a third character for them. So it was you know they were always reacting off of that, it also brought them you know the pressure brought them together closer. You know and uh there’s just this incredible commitment and magic that happened. |

Well the coast (talks) well I don’t think it actually matters, any coast, uh go south uhm and we did actually, it was a patch work of you know we actually shot in New Orleans for the post Katrina clean up that was still going on uh uh Pennsylvania because it had all the variety of woods and you know so it was a patch work. So you know uh mount saint Helens up in Washington State and Oregon I guess is what you’re referring to. But you know uhm and lake eerie we used even so you know uhm so really it was kind of creating, and that’s what the book does, it feels really familiar but its not specific to enough to just put your finger on it. Like the characters you know it’s the man, the boy not, they don’t have names, its to give it so you can uh you can project yourself into it is the whole idea. |
