In: 01.08.13 Out: 01.08.34 Sound Bite: Kim Cattrall – coming back to character It was a thrill, it really, really was, I missed her, I missed I missed the whole thing of Sex and the City, it was, it was such a great experience, it was so much fun to play this character so coming back it felt, it felt very easy, effortless, it was fun. |

In: 01.08.45 Out: 01.08.59 Sound Bite: Kim Cattrall – on her character Yes, yes, yes we even talk differently, she has she’s very much, she’s a very theatrical character and I always love that about her, she’s of sort of like a modern day Auntie May. |

In: 01.09.04 Out: 01.09.54 Sound Bite: Kim Cattrall – getting noticed on street You know it started off when the series first sort of hit, its dried. It kind of a little embarrassing and you know and it still can happen but after about the third or fourth season where especially Samantha’s character I think went to a much deeper level and you saw really, I mean this woman who has it all, does it all been there, done that, what scares her, what makes her vulnerable and those scripts and story lines started to happen and that to me was just gold and then when Samantha the character was diagnosed with cancer I thought that the way it was handled was just beautifully done. And to play those scenes and to be that subtle and that honest was uh was a great, great opportunity, I loved doing it |

In: 01.10.12 Out: 01.11.48 Sound Bite: Kim Cattrall – being a sexual character Well you know I think the, these icons these these very strong uh archetypes have been with us from the beginning of time, that’s who Aphrodite is, that’s who Venus is and you look at these throughout the ages, they’ve always been with us but I think for the last 20 years mostly due to the aids epidemic, I think people were thinking about sexuality and sensuality and almost a forbidden and frightened way and when this character and the show sort of came into people’s consciousness I think they were ready for it, to think about sexuality with protection in a totally different way, sexuality and sensuality to get rid of the fear and to embrace it as part of being human and I think that’s what’s really strong, its almost like as if there was a break in tradition of enveloping her, especially in the 60’s and 70’s which I’m a child of, it was a right of passage, you know. And then suddenly it became very frightening and forbidden and I feel this was the other side of the pendulum and it was sometimes you know zigiests are like that, its just timing and also to see woman portrayed and talking about issues that are important to woman, single woman, I thought that was also a wonderful uhm breaking of the pattern of woman how they relate to men but this woman how they relate to their lives and to each other and creating your girlfriends as your family and as your supposed. |
