(I think people underestimate what you have to go through physically and mentally you know it’s something that you have to focus, a lot of experience is involved with the setups and the whole business aspect of racing is a lot more complex, the same as filming a movie. There’s so many elements that people don’t have any idea but the concentration level and the competition level, what you have to do physically and mentally to compete at that level, participation and profession, there’s a lot to it ya know, uh it’s fun though, it puts me in a place I’ve been all my life in competing and I think most professional athletes know what kind of zone it takes to) be able to do that kind of job, and then you add the element of speed and the excitement of never knowing what’s gonna happen and all the events that are out of your control that you are trying to uh whip in and you know bring yourself good luck and it’s just a cool sport. |

The main sponsor’s Nos Energy Drink and Inner Rush Grand State Hotels, I have a couple really great supporters and they pretty much share equal billing in a variety of different races (talks) In the nationwide series I’m number 30, in the Sprint cup I’m number 50 |

Well I mean I just think they’re really innovative directors and they’re constantly looking for new ways and imagining the way that movies can look. So their visual style is very bold and uh they’re constantly trying to envision new ways that movies can be told um and then you know my first meeting with them talked a lot about how they wanted to make a family movie, that their nieces and nephews could go see and that really struck a chord with me. I haven’t really done anything that my kids can see and they’re here tonight, they’ve been waiting an awful long time to see this movie, and I can’t wait to sit down, have the lights come down, and watch their faces, watch this movie. |

Very different, very different uh this was a gimble situation where it was a hydraulically manipulated gimble. We didn’t have to do a lot of work, basically you kind of just buckle the seatbelt really tight and hang on for dear life, uh it was pretty intense and fun um the Vantage Point situation was a very different thing, it was a sort of a poor man’s green screen process and then a lot of stunt drivers doing the actual driving. I was not in that sequence very much, you know I mean I was just really the close up stuff and they just popped it into somebody who was driving very intensely. |

It wasn’t that bad, and again Larry and Andy you know gave us so much material, previs and digital imagery and artists renderings so we had a really good idea of what these set pieces would feel like |

Do I like football? Honestly I’ve actually never been to a professional game, I went to a, I know it’s really bad right, I’ve been to a UT game though that was so much fun I had such a great time, um and I’ve been to so many high school football games, it’s fun, I’m more of a Dodgers fan though, I said it. |

Sound Bite: Susan Sarandon No, I’m here because of the Matrix really, I was seduces by The Matrix, which I think is one of the most brilliant films ever, I kind of missed, I didn’t watch, I wasn’t a kid that really watched a lot of kids and then my kids went kind of right to uh South Park and Simpsons and American Dad stuff like that which they’ve turned me onto through the years and which I’ve done voices for actually. So you know it was the Wachowskis and this idea that they were going to do something never done before and I like the theme of family that’s in there and the same time there sense of humor and its they created a whole new kind of filmmaking and so I thought well if I’m ever going to do something that involves green screen they would be the guys to do uh.

You know you think it would be crazy but one of them your imaging what there and then normally you’re imagining what’s not there because you’re trying to pretend you’re not making love in front of twelve people with a camera right here so you know I, you’re always trying to focus hard, and pretend things aren’t there. So really pretending things were there wasn’t that difficult. |

You know they’re just these fantastic, fantastic guys who have this kind of innovative just nature to them whenever they work on films and they’re just always trying to push the boundaries of what’s been, what come before and its exciting to be a part of that in a movie you know. |

Well it wasn’t the suit, it was this thing called The Gimble which is the robotic arm that was the cars simulator for me so I’d be in this car simulator and it would be shaking me around like when I’m in the races and it was honestly so like rage I had being in me and its uncomfortable, you get whiplash and you get bruised so all the scenes in the movie where I’m actually racing I’m just like its genuine anger, it was like method acting, it was fantastic. |

No, well when I was on the set, but when I first read the script I was like well what are they going to do with this like its going to be and then you see what they did and you’re like its its you don’t go oh that’s like this or that’s like that you know you don’t have that reference point you always have you go oh I’ve never seen anything like that, its crazy. |

I mean I had the project for a long time, almost 20 years, not till the Wachowski brothers come along and said look we have an idea to make this did it become a real movie. They had this notion of a CGI world, with just an outrageous unbelievably colorful experience and they did a fantastic job. |

Well that was the intention and if they said that then we succeeded and we’re showing it here at a theatre where a movies never been shown before, so it kind of, so it kind of ? never done before so I’m excited about today and I’m excited about the movie. |

Sound Bite: Joel Silver The next one that will be that I start shooting literally tomorrow is a movie called Ninja Assassin, the brothers are producing it with me, starring Rainn who’s actually in this movie, it’s a full on martial arts movie. I been ? with Guy Richie called RocknRolla which is terrific. Back to my R rated roots essentially because this movie is a PG movie, with uh Gerry Butler and Thandie Newton and Tom Wilkinson, it’s a great English gangster film. I’m busy but hoping this movie’s a big hit.
