MR-1 READY FOR LAUNCH AT CAPE CANAVERAL MERCURY PROJECT. MERCURY REDSTONE. MR-1 WAS SUCCESSFULLY LAUNCHED ON DEC. 19, 1961 AFTER SEVERAL UNSUCCESSFUL TRIES.
