Cervi – Well you know we didn’t think about but we’re very honored to be a part of this movie. Not only because of the subject but because of Spike Lee and I’ve always admired his work and his vision. You know for me the most important thing when you meet a director is the vision. It’s and it’s the environment he’s going to you know put you in, it’s not only about the character so um yeah it was amazing and Spike Lee’s a great great great director. |

In: 12.21.06 Out: 12.22.02 Sound Bite: Valentina Cervi & Pierfrancesco Favino – is Spike different than expected Cervi – Favino – You know I didn’t have time to expect anything because I never thought that could happen so I mean I never thought as Spike Lee as man, as real man, but as a director so when I happened to face him I didn’t have any kind of prejudice or great expectations about him so everything was very fluent and I just had fun and and I enjoyed very much working with him. Cervi – You always heard stories of Spike being a hard director and being, and it’s not. I mean he’s hard because he has to get the work done, that’s his objective, you know it’s his mission. Favino – His focus. Cervi – He’s very focused but he’s one of the most um trustful you know people the actors he’s working with, he’s, you can rely on him, you can really rely on him and that’s amazing. |

In: 12.22.20 Out: 12.23.23 Sound Bite: Valentina Cervi & Pierfrancesco Favino – did they know about this story Favino – Well uh there’s one massacre that it’s, I don’t know why, more famous than this, and it happened 100 kilometers from this and it’s called ? and uh it’s just because the amount of people that died are as more, more people died than that, but I happened to see 2 documentaries on this massacre before you know I was cast for the movie and I read a book about that, and that’s how I got to know that this thing happened and I got to discover that so many other massacres were done by German people just leaving the country just because they were leaving the country, that was it, and another horrible thing was that the trial that started for this thing started in 2005 and yes. |
