Sound Bite: Dwayne Johnson – this movie being in the process of getting made
Yeah he was, this has been in the process for some time, and in the works. Hey look I was just lucky enough to be let in on the train and play with these guys, it was great because Agent 23, my character was a very small role in the script when I signed on then the role expanded.

Sound Bite: Dwayne Johnson – what attracted him to the film and was he a fan of the show
Frankly no, I wasn’t a big fan of it, didn’t like it, didn’t like anything about it. What attracted me was the money. Millions of dollars to play this role, it’s all I need. No I’m only kidding, uh no I’m serious, no, um yeah I was a big fan of the original, and a big fan of what Don Adams did with the character, great you know I love self-deprecating humor and when it’s played straight that way, I loved it, and the very first time we sat down for our table read with Carell and all the actors, Carell’s first line, I’ds ay within two minutes of that, I knew he was gonna nail it, I mean he really embodied the spirit and um and you know that’s what attracted me to the role, you know to be able to work with Steve, work with Alan Arkin, work with Pete Segal, of course Anne Hathaway and Terrence Stamp, I mean there’ s just a really big cast.

Sound Bite: Dwayne Johnson – does Steve’s comedic nature make his job easier
No I, I’m sorry to interrupt you, but no I don’t think it didn’t make anything more daunting in any way like that, it made if anything exciting, you know it just reminded me if you know look he’s a titan at what he does, Alan Arkin is a titan at what he does too, and all of us are funny in our own way, so it was nice to merge um all of our concepts of what would be funny and it merged very nicely too, so I was very happy about that, but no not challenging just very exciting and you get around Steve and you learn and there’s a lot of adlibbing, get around Alan you know and you’d be a fool not to try and soak up as much information as you possibly can. By the way, about life, not only just about acting. Yeah sure he’s just a wonderful man.

Sound Bite: Dwayne Johnson
Yeah yeah, they were great, you know obviously the role of the chief, there was a lot of different guys who were offered the role, but then you know Steve obviously gave his big stamp of approval for Alan Arkin and um he’s one of those guys where I’m blessed to have him in my life, honestly.
