Never, and I don’t think till the rest of the life that goes on here on this planet there will be anyone as creepy as creed. The character. Not myself of course, you know. I’d say I’m kind of a nice guy. |

No the 4 toes and the speaking in Chinese and the iron lung I went “fine.” Because actually most of it is really what I’ve gone through myself. They heard my story and said you just can’t make this stuff up, we’ll just tell you what you did, that’s what we do. |

Never worked in an office. Hardly ever had a 9 to 5 job in my life. I was just in a rock and roll band and then I was in the business I was a prop man, a boom man, a grip, background, which is a stand in, I mean all kinds of stuff in the business aspects of it, in the movie business aspects of it. (talks) Grass Roots back in the 60s. |

Creed is kind of he’s it’s hard to know sometimes which Creed you’re talking to. Um who is least like his character? Toby’s a lot like his character as well he’s very kind of shy and you know um who’s not? Rainn is not like Dwight. Rainn is so, he’s coming pike here, um he’s very thoughtful and stuff, he wouldn’t want you to know that but he’s really kind and thoughtful and he’s not the Nazi character that he plays. |

Like the moment where Michael and Oscar kiss, that was, I think it was scripted that they hug so when they actually kissed everyone went oh my God, it’s gonna happen. Yeah it was a genuinely, and then the expression on our face was true and real. |

There’s a guy standing across there in his towel, standing in a towel over there on the balcony. Yeah he’s in a blue and white striped towel. What kind of? There’s like hundreds of people here. {Alan pans and gets guy in towel} He goes inside now, “it’s gonna be on YouTube.” |

We are elated at the success. When it first started um we were like the little show that could. There were a couple of things going against us, um one trying to overcome the British version because it was so great such a success and I think that uh our critics were thinking oh they’re not going to be able to you know bridge that hump and then there was another show, Couplings, that was another British show that came over and had a life of 3 airings and then it was so with those 2 similiarities I think it was kind of a you know odd situation. We had a long period of time before we had the pick up for the 5 and then there was another… I went back to casting both times and um because I was in casting for 19 years so I went back to casting uh in between those times you know. And then the second season came. |

People have come up to us and said that on Fridays at lunch that’s all they talk about is the Office and what happened at The Office. |

The one that least resembles it is Steve Carrel, and the one that most resembles it, I want to say Krasinski but he’s got a lot more gumption than Jim but he’s as nice a fellow as Jim is. The niceness of Jim that’s John, John is that nice, but John has a lot more um ? what’s the word? (talks) Yes! More gumption, more you know, than Jim, so yeah I guess those 2. |

I liked the show of course the one I was in and he kissed me I think that might have been the most awkward moment. And there was one too where he uh he had a surprise for u but he didn’t think of one. “The surprise is {makes rumbling sound}” and he was sweating and I was sitting right nest to him and you know you only see a little bit of it on TV but they rolled forever and he’s just standing there and we’re just staring at him. It goes on forever like on the original Office, the British one, the awkward beats would go on for like 10 or 15 seconds longer than ours and that’s I love that, I love it, it’s just so uncomfortable and there’s no ? from Ricky Gervais and he’s just like. And they’re just, he can’t escape. So we’d do it but because of commercials and our shows get shrunk down to 20 minutes after all is said and done instead of 30, it makes things a little quicker. |

Well the most recent I guess would have been here and it was working part time in the evening at an insurance firm and it was filling out, I don’;t know what it was, but it was putting forms into the computer, there were forms for home insurance so I know if you own a Rottweiler or a Chow your insurance is higher if you own one than if you don’t or whatever but the office was extremely quiet and people were talking hush tones. It was just awful but that’s how it was when you were in a cubicle. It was just crazy you know that’s people do that. |

Well if they sent Michael Scott out, he’d probably blow a lot of money right away getting uh tan booth, you know the tan and buying sunglssed he can’t even afford um and thinking that he’s seeing celebrities when in fact it’s not the celebrities themselves so after he’s calmed down for that, which will probably take him a a month, uh then he probably get some work done and there’s a lot business out here so I think they’d do okay, make some money out of here. |

Well, who most resembles their character, I’m gonna say Rainn Wilson, um he’s um sorry um I’m just gonna say Rainn Wilson because he knows more about Battlestar Galactica than most human beings should. And I don’t care what he says that makes him very Dwight-like. You know what I mean? And who’s the least like their character? Um I’m gonna say me. |

Uh I’ve been topless 3 times, that’s always awkward, right? Um I think admitting Meredith was sleeping with the paper supplier in exchange for a discount and um Outback Steakhouse gift certificates, that was really awkward, yeah I’m gonna pick that. Yeah sex for Outback Steakhouse gives you, yeah I’m gonna say that, yeah. |

Oh my gosh, hmm… most resembles their character and least resembles their character. I would guess Ed most resembles his character and hmm Angela probably least resembles her character. Well actually I take that back, Brian least resembles his character too. Yeah. so. (taks) Well I mean you know there’s the Brian ? that’s the intellectual that we know and there’s Kevin, Kevin. Yeah. (talks) Angela you know she’s a sweet calm you know and then the Angela on the show is this wound tightly very you know person. |

My most awkward scene… physically awkward? Well when we had on the sumo suits, that was physically awkward, because they had to lay us on the tables between takes and when you pump up the suit it pumps out that way, but it also pumps the end and also squeezes your guts. |

Are there Star Trek fans that thumb their noses at Battlestar Galactica? Because I will take them out. I will rip their faces off and eat them. No like Hannibal Lecter style, that’s ridiculous. I am both, a Star Trek fan and I don’t know about this new Star Trek because the new captain Kirk he looks like he’s from a daytime soap opera you know what I mean? I don’t know who that dude is but there was something about like Shatner was good looking but he was also like kind of like portly and a little bit weird, you know what I mean? This guy looks a little Abercrombie and Fitch. I’m just jealous because I wanted to play Captain Kirk. |

Um I would say Phyllis uh most resembles her character, and who’s least uh Steve’s character. Like as sweet and kind and humble as a guy that you’d ever want to meet and uh he always knows the right thing to say, unlike Michael Scott. There’s a lot of cameras pointing at me right now. A lot of hadnycams. |

That’s a loaded question. Um who most resembles their character? Creed. No question. Um Creed, he’s not as dark as his character, but from a personality standpoint, he’s just as kind of random and delightful as his character. And then what was the other one? Who least resembles their character? Angela. No question. She is like this hilarious little bundle of southern Texas joy in real life and we you know what she is on the show. A very dark person. |

That’s a great question and the answer is very simple, the Daily Show was way more awkward because it’s real and the people that you’re having an awkward moment with are sharing in the awkwardness for real, and also like my job as a correspondent is to instigate awkwardness and that was tough it was hard on my constitution for 5 years. This is just pure joy. The Office all fiction so it’s just silly fun. It’s like being in an awkward playground. |
