Most directors like to direct directors because you go through you’ve been there, you know how hard it is, you know how much you’re losing the light and all things that go wrong so usually when directors work for other directors they behave very well and I did behave very well. For everyone I did so we had a good time.

The kids are wandering round and Dwayne is gonna get them through and there’s a big car chase and it’s a surprise and I’m part of a car chase which I’ve never been before. But I enjoyed acting. Carla Gugino and ll the whole cast and uh we were just talking. AnnaSophia Robb I hope to do a movie with, she’s very good. We have a movie we hope will go soon.
02:02:34 159.67	Sound Bite: Gary Marshall Well I think it’s very important, I do shows there’s a lot of talk shows, green and all this. I’ve done, Tom Berrenger does one, and we did that so I think it’s an important thing. I don’t know what I saw in the set, I was so nervous with my part but I did see, they did have a lot of green things around the set and Disney themselves are always promoting that. Disney was the first studio that had squirrels because they had trees there. So I think it’s a good thing and everybody should contribute. Years ago green used to mean, let’s get more money. Now it means a whole different thing which will help save the planet.

In the beginning I was like absolutely yes, and then I was like uh, and then Andy only took a few seconds to say you are doing this, I can’t do this without you and I was like, absolutely. I think I just I dunno but absolutely there was not a hesitation in my voice in the beginning.

Eisenmann – it was so much fun to do the original films that it’s just like it’s not even fair to be uh to be… oh good. Richards – They made us wear those sometimes on the set. Eisenmann – But it was, the first one were so much to make, of course the only apprehension about the remake was is it gonna be the same kind of environment, you know it’s been a long time and it was strange, there’s just something about um the whole you know myth about Witch Mountain that everyone was there wanted to be a part of it. people on the crew just wanted to meet us. Everyone was excited to just be a part of this you know this new chapter in the saga and so it was still like going home again. Everyone had a great time and it was a blast and I thought I’m having way too much fun, I really hope this comes out okay, because we’re just goofing off too much it seemed like. But no it’s wonderful I’m very excited about this film. Richards – Every day on the set was absolutely it was like everybody just joked around we did our jobs but it was fun, everybody you know made their little jokes got serious had fun did their job and then you know we wore little ear pieces, Andy wore his little ear piece we make jokes, we get back to work. Everybody had fun every day on the set. It was absolutely a tremendously fun film to work on.
02:08:11 495.67	Sound Bite: Alexander Ludwig Epic would be a good way to describe it. we just had such a blast um we really just formed this great family on and off screen and uh um working with talented actors like AnnaSophia and Kim and Ike, I just feel like the luckiest kid in the world.
02:08:27 511.67	Sound Bite: Alexander Ludwig Dwayne is unbelievable. Such a genuine cool guy. He’s really been like an older brother to me and I couldn’t feel any luckier I mean so many kids would die to be in the position that I’m in and I feel like I just feel so fortunate.
02:08:44 528.67	Sound Bite: Alexander Ludwig Oh yes we have a fun story. Um I actually pulled a prank on Andy on April Fools. Um I got the makeup artist to give me a bunch of blood, I put it in my mouth, and I took a piece of gum and shaped it into the shape of a tooth, then I tripped, during the scene, I tripped for his prompter and fell in front of the producer and director and started spitting blood everywhere and then they saw a tooth come out and they were flipping out, I think it was the funniest thing I’d ever seen.

It’s really for me it’s just about telling stories and everything that comes with it, you can look at it as good or bad, it just comes with it and I’m uh I just feel like the luckiest kid in the world again and um yeah it’s just seeing all these people out here right now and how big this is it’s just unbelievable I just never imagined it would be like this ever.

That’s I mean that’s another great part of our film is that it’s so unexpected that aliens come out in human form and look like regular human beings um which I think is great you know when I was first working on the project um with Andy I was like so um are we gonna have gills or scaley skin? And he goes no you’re just gonna be how you are but our dialogue is very unnatural for American teenagers. The usual.

While we were filming uh we had a second unit going the whole time filming all the action sequences so it’s like a complete action movie and then uh comedy and drama and some acting jobs put together and it’s just visually it’s amazing and it’s such a fun ride.

02:14:52 897.67	Sound Bite: Carla Gugino Well definitely I know a lot more about alien life and different worm holes and uh everything than I ever knew before. Um it was really fun to get into the head of Alex Freidman my character because she is someone who needs to find a scientific way and reason for everything to work out, and then of course in front of her she actually meets 2 aliens and can not believe it so it was a dream come true it was a really fun character to play.

Dwayne is smarter because Dwayne’s done so many, Dwayne’s like I don’t need to do that one, you know and meanwhile I’m like, can I do mine? So there was one I said I want to slide down this slide and Dwayne was like that’s okay I don’t need to. And then they said for insurance reasons I couldn’t but yes I always love to do as many of my own stunts as I can. It’s so much fun.

I don’t know, it’s always fun to pontificate about that.

02:19:07 1151.67	Sound Bite: Dwayne Johnson Yeah it’s a little tricky any time you reimagine or you remake, however you want to describe it, uh a movie especially a classic from a company that takes a lot of pride in their classics, like Disney does. Um so we have intentions of paying homage in respect to the original source material the original um Escape to Witch Mountain, or Escape From Witch Mountain, um and uh we want make sure that everybody loved the original material and that everybody was on board in making an original a bigger better version of that and it seems like we accomplished it.

You know the notion for me, especially, this is my 10th year of acting. When I first got in it I wanted to hopefully create as many opportunities to work in as many different genres as I possibly could. I’m happy to be in that place where I’m working in many different genres and to continue to make movies that people will enjoy and to thoroughly entertain with. Stop pulling me, that’s my publicist. What did I say about pulling me like that?
