This is bigger then the academy awards, I mean in terms of people and presence and good feeling you know it really feels amazing. It genuinely feels amazing. |

Well you can feel that and that is the nice thing. You know people are clearly very grateful that we came back here and they just seem so warm and appreciative and welcoming and that is a wonderful thing to be a part of. |

Well you know we’ve had a lot a lot of work going over the last year. We’ve got a lot more work to do but we are beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Things are falling into place. We’ve got our road home program helping home owners. We are going to be helping landlords. We are going to be getting affordable rentals up. There are just a lot of things happening that will still take a lot of labor. It’s labor intensive which means time. But it is coming together. The pieces are coming together and I think this premiere here tonight is an indication that all of the people that work so hard are excited. It lets the reconnect with what their life was like before. And what it is going to be like in the future, in fact it will be better in the future. |

…I wanted to refresh my memory of the action in the book…I’m excited. We have a great cast. The producers are all terrific friends of mine and I think it’s a tribute to our city here that the film industry is good, it is strong. We have great incentives. It’s energized all of Louisiana, as far as Shreiveport where they got a lot of action going so we welcome the film industry. This is a great place to do film. We’ve got great incentives. We make it happen here in Louisiana. |

First, it is a lot more easier to be in the international spotlight for a great film than have to deal with that aftermath of a hurricane. It has been a hard year. We’ve worked day and night. Huge teams of people have worked with me. We’ve moved mountains over the last year. We have a lot of work to do but we see the daylight breaking. We see that things are coming good. WE got a good program underway to help home owners and help landlords to get affordable rentals up and if we can get our home sites up and then our people can come home. And that is what our goal is, to get our people home. And right now there is a lot of home sickness right now. We have a lot of people spread all across the country who are ready. They just need a place and so that is the focus of our work. In the mean time we are building a strong economy. The film industry is a part of that strong economy. We’re bringing manufacturing in, regularly. It is a good place to invest. There is a lot of opportunity in Louisiana here. |
