IN THE BEGINNING OF THE FILM, A STREETCAR PASSES IN FRONT OF THE CAMERA POSITION. THE CAMERA STARTS TO MOVE, INDICATING THAT IT WAS ON A STREETCAR SINCE IT IS IN THE SAME POSITION AS THE CAR IN THE FIRST SCENE. ALL THE FILM WAS PHOTOGRAPHED FROM THE STREETCAR. THE SCENES WERE TAKEN IN THE METROPOLITAN AREA, AND THERE ARE FOUR TURNS ON THE TRACK. SEVERAL OLD HOUSES CAN BE SEEN AS WELL AS PEOPLE AND CARTS ON THE STREET. A MAN SAUNTERS ON THE TRACK AHEAD OF THE STREETCAR. AS THE SCENE PROGRESSES, IT IS OBVIOUS THAT THE CAMERA HAS STOPPED MOVING. THE CONDUCTOR AND THE MOTORMAN GRAPPLE WITH THE SAUNTERER AND FINALLY PERSUADE HIM TO LEAVE THE TRACKS AFTER A WOMAN SPECTATOR HITS THEM OVER THE HEAD WITH HER UMBRELLA. FURTHER DOWN THE STREET, AN AUTOMOBILE IS TRYING TO GO UP THE HILL.IT IS BEING PASSED BY OVERLOADED HORSE DRAWN VEHICLES. THE STREETCAR THEN PROCEEDS, MAKING ONE MORE TURN BEFORE THE PICTURE ENDS. |
