We got 60 percent of it from Pathe who I did forget to mention, fuck. I just thought, and they’ll kill me. They gave us the money first, and then they gave us the most money, and I forgot to mention them. |

Sound Bite: Danny Boyle
I personally do, but I think what I like about films is I define their spirit, there’s something about the spirit of film when it’s right is more important than anything whether its independent, studio, whatever it is, if the spirit, you can sense the spirit sometimes in a film and that is independent in a way because it’s sort of it’s although you contribute to it it has its own life that kind of owns you in a way you know the spirit of film, and this film was made in that spirit by most of the people who made it, and we’ve worked in that spirit right the way through to presenting it and in Toronto and right the way through that and you know all the way we’ve done with it and everywhere we’ve been with it we’ve tried to work within that spirit in which it was made, so it’s very special to get this obviously as a director, very special, and uh you know um to step in the shoes of people like the Coen brothers I mean is phenomenal. Because I have I mentioned in the speech, I don’t know if you heard the speech, I’ve stolen from them all my career you know in a naked in appalling way and uh you know I can’t believe they’re giving me things and they should be paying me them really. |
