It’s like all about timing and comedy and truth, getting it up on the screen. Lee – It still feels very much like a Toy Story movie, it fits right in with the other 2, it looks as good as anything we’re capable of doing now, it’s just gorgeous looking.

In Toy Story 2 Zerg was kind of designed a little bit after the doll that I had. So you know there’s a little bit of all of us in these films and a little bit of all the toys that we had when we were kids. Darla – Exactly, we invited Lee Majors to the premiere.

I think like the classics of storytelling are simple it’s just what modern spin you can put on them I suppose. But yeah, they make sure there’s a beginning, middle and an end and they work hard on the characters.

They keep coming up with new wonderful unusual things and uh they give so many lessons, they give the children lessons and they give us lessons of how to go on with life and not let life get us down! Just keep us going. And that’s what Toy Story does.

So many years ago we didn’t have Toys but I had monopoly and I still have the same set, it’s weathered and it’s old and but I still have it. Uhm what would, oh I don’t know. I don’t know, I have three Children and three grandsons and I don’t even know anything about their toys either. I think today its all computers, right? So they’ll be, they’ll eventually be computer toys, I know it. It has to be. And I hope one of them they name Estelle.

They just start screaming tools of all sorts (talks) Buzz always does a little love. I miss Bo Peep to be honest with you. Yeah, remember Bo Peep, I stuttered around her and now all of a sudden I start looking at Jesse in a different way. (talks) yeah, sure I did. (talks) What they want, it’s very difficult, these, they want neutral Spanish which is not Castillo and it’s not Native Mexican, it’s in the middle. It’s was more like, and if you get in South America they all fight about it. But it’s closer to actually Columbia than it is to uh, that’s what they call neutral Mexican. A lot of work went into not annoying South America, I’ll tell you that. (talks) I had model airplanes I hung from the ceiling, everywhere. (talks) Yeah yeah yeah. Everywhere I had model airplanes, World War II airplanes, big, big deal and model cars all around my desk. And a tank now and then but very tough to build as a kid.

They, first of all they focu-, it’s like everything you wanna do as a good parent, they focus, they pay attention to what is going on, they commit to it and really provide a relaxed environment for all their artists to work in and and and they care about making it the best thing they can be and I think that’s you know unusual cause a lot of times in Hollywood they’re like doing 80 million things at once and blah blah blah and you know even as a parents I can relate to that, doing a million things. But if you really want you know to bring out the best in your kid you gotta really focus on them and see what they are and let it be the best and I think they kind of got that. And I hope other people do it.

Son – Yeah it is, cake is a whole nother part of my life, yeah. See we have a thing in our family if you’re a cake person or an ice cream person and I’m a cake person Son – I like both.
