Sound Bite: Javier Bardem
Yeah exactly, thank god. Yeah I think that the character of Juan Antonio based on what is supposed to be normal which is things happen for a reason and uh for a normal reason which is due to our logical conscious and logical feelings but at the same time I think the brilliant of Woody Allen is to bring that to a very uncommon situation and realize there is nothing common because we dream with being common in order to control ourselves but uh we’re not, everybody really is different from each other somehow. |

Sound Bite: Javier Bardem – on Barcelona
Its something that was really special for everybody I think uh I don’t know I cant talk about the whole country but I thought that a lot of people was very moved, very honored by the fact of having Woody Allen in there own town portraying out country and some people run to the streets and they wanted to really applaud Woody Allen, there were excited by by the possibility of being I don’t know portrayed by a genius like Woody and uhm and I think Barcelona as itself plays a character because there’s a, there’s a sight of Barcelona that has to do with the, there, the romanticism that works perfectly for this story. And of course Barcelona is not only that, Barcelona has many other things but it has a really romantic side that Woody really knew how to put it in the story. |

Yeah I think it’s the, I think Juan Antonio’s the character throws like some kind of ball of doubt and to hold these three woman, three different woman as you say with three different problems to see how they react in order for him to understand what he wants uhm because he I think the character of Juan Antonio its uh based on someone on someone exactly what he wants but he’s not and the way to realize it, the way to find out what he really wants is to confront the other people to the same problem is to see how they react and that’s why he is so direct and I don’t know ???? uhm encourage. |
