Sound bite: Emma Roberts– What jumped out at you to take the role?
Emma Roberts – Um you know I really I read the script and I loved that it was you know it was a family movie, it was a dog movie, but it was done really well and different then most of the um other dog movies out there. And also I just I love the cast I love Don Cheadle, Lisa Kudro, Kevin Dillon and I also, I’m an older sister so I could relate to my character feeling kind of you know sisterly to her brother and wanting him to be happy. (talking) Defiantly you know we’re foster kids and we don’t really have anything and that’s what so great that we’re trying to make something and make a family for ourselves.

Sound bite: Jake T. Austin – Dogs are a metaphor
Jake T. Austin – We don’t have a family that we can you know call our family and the dogs don’t have that as well so I think that is something that we sort of funny that the dogs are similar to us.

Sound bite: Emma Roberts and Jake T. Austin – Dogs from rescues?
Jake T. Austin – A lot of them.
Emma Roberts – Yeah a lot of the dogs in the movie were rescued who are now in a great homes and we shot at a lot of pounds actually and everyone donated a little bit of money and we got out I think 5 or 6 dogs and they found great homes as well.

Sound bite: Jake T. Austin – A good message in the movie?
Jake T. Austin – There are a few messages in the movie, one of them is you know you’re family doesn’t necessarily have to be your blood it could be anybody you know where you feel comfortable and another one is you know it helps bring public awareness and you know to the eyes of children and adults of what’s really going on in the world with all the strays.

Sound bite: Emma Roberts– Ever met your costars before.
Emma Roberts – Um no I had never met Lisa, Don, or Kevin, or Jake or anyone so we all were all thrown into this and luckily we all got along really well and ended up having a really fun time shooting this.

Sound bite: Emma Roberts– Lisa fun to work with?
Emma Roberts – She is, she’s so fun, she’s so genuine and just really nice and um easy to talk to.

Sound bite: Emma Roberts - any upcoming projects?
Emma Roberts – Yeah um, (talking) I’m going to Sundance next week actually, I have two movies one called the Winning Season with Sam Rockwell, and one called Lime Life with Alec Baldwin, Cynthia Nixon, Joe Hennessey, um and then in May I have a movie called Wild Child coming out which was already released in the UK, did really well and now it’s coming out here. (talking) Defiantly no I have been actually, the two at Sundance are much more serious, this is a family film and then Wild Child is very much a teen comedy.

Sound bite: Emma Roberts and Jake T. Austin – How does this compare to TV
Jake T. Austin – Um you know this experience is defiantly something that uh I’m shooting Wizards now so it’s weird going back and forth and um you know I’ve done film before The Perfect Game which I’ve done and it’s different from television because you can get close to 20 pages a day you know in the can with television and you know you’re at the same studio everyday and with sitcoms you have a certain rhythm and you have certain beats and everything so this was sort of a break from that where I could sort of be a little more realistic with the character
