Sound Bite: Jack Black – trademark the new catch phrase?
A new catch phrase that I am trying to push I did it at the end of the movie, the whooshi finger hold, did you see the movie? And then at the end I do the thing to him and when, as I do it to him I went skadooch. (talking) Not that memorable. No I didn’t, it’s not for cash just for good times.

Sound Bite: Jack Black – Another underdog character, you like that?
I guess I, I relate to that, the guy on the outside of the uh system. (talking) Well you know I’ve never really felt like I could pull off the real 9 to 5 office work job, I’m too much of a daydreamer and like uh I just love the arts and the creative like world, so you can kind of feel kind of outside the rest of the world when you when you don’t fit in like that.

Sound Bite: Jack Black – When your character gets “there” do you feel overwhelmed?
Um, can you repeat that? (talking) The Dragon Warrior? (talking) I mean when I got some really success in the business I felt overwhelmed surely but uh luckily I was already like 30 years old when I finally tasted the sweet nectar of success, so I think I was mature enough not to lose my mind go crazy. But uh yeah it can be disorientating when you go from anonymous uh artist to uh to a star as it were, it happened pretty fast. (talking) Yeah and then everybody knows you when you’re walking down the street it’s like whoa. It’s a different, different world but um yeah.

Sound Bite: Jack Black – Did you meet Angelina and Dustin again?
I did yeah I got to meet everybody you know during the press junket I see them all here. Uh I did work a little bit with Dustin in the recording studio, but mostly it’s in isolation and I kind of like that.

Sound Bite: Jack Black – They film you, did they have you do the Kung Fu, do the moves yourself?
They didn’t ask me to, but I ended up doing it anyway just to get into character and you know you want to make the sounds sound legit, like uh I can just pretend like I am punching someone by just going ‘ha’ ‘wham’ or I can really ‘youta, haty’ and it you know energizes the voice and I feel like you can you can tell the difference on the screen.
