Sound Bite: Jamie Pressly – what was it like to work with them
It was an honor and it was really great to, there were a couple of us outsiders running into it. it wasn’t like everybody was the same old same on in the film, that’s why I thought it was so great because you don’t normally see Jane Curtin and J.K. Simmons you know there was just so many. Andy Samburg um and then you know of course working with uh Favreau who I adore and have worked with before on my show was just such a wonderful time. He keeps you on your toes the whole time, he’s so great at improv and just so quick.

Sound Bite: Jamie Pressly – go off script a lot?
Every, the majority of the film is off-script. Um even though the original script was brilliant, you know, in every way, John Hamburg our, the writer and director, was really great about letting everybody kind of roll with it and see whatever, you know sometimes when everybody gets together especially with comedy, you get better stuff out of just the individuals because they get into their characters and they might say something that’s even funnier and so I don’t even know how Hamburg put this together how he edited it all because every take was so funny I mean I was actually there, I was filming it, I saw it, I was laughing, whatever. And then when I saw the film itself, I was crying I was laughing so hard because it was just it was just so great.

Sound Bite: Jamie Pressly – it’s more the little things that make it
Which is why I worked hard to describe what the film’s about because there are so many little nuances in the film that make it just as funny as the you know as the actual plot itself. Um you know normally when a guy and a girl get in a relationship you always the girl always drops her girlfriends because somehow us girls we always understand that you’re in a relationship now so we’re gonna see you less right? It’s kind of accepted. And the girls then end up taking on the friends of the boyfriend or the husband. In this situation it’s opposite. You know they get together, she has all the girlfriends, and he doesn’t and becomes friends with all her girlfriends so when the wedding happens and then they all of a sudden have to even out the wedding parties, like I’ve got mine, where’s yours? You know it’s kind of genius because normally the girls have to go back and be like look I’m sorry that I wasn’t around but I love you and I’m getting married and would you please be in my wedding and it’s this whole you know rigarmarole and just being able to actually showcase that there are such things it’s okay as sensitive men is wonderful because we never I don’t recall a film especially lately where we get to see a guy who is as sensitive as Paul Rudd’s character and Jason Segel’s character I mean I think it’s great.

Sound Bite: Jamie Pressly – her book
Well I can tell you that it’s not necessarily. I don’t want to say that it’s not necessarily just about me, but it’s called It’s Not Necessarily Not the Truth, um and I started writing it when I was pregnant and uh it’s you know I’m 31 so I don’t want people to think that it’s I’m writing my life’s autobiography because that would be asinine but it’s stories from my life uh first 15 years in North Carolina, second 15 years in California and it’s a lot about the people that I grew up around and how they influenced me and what I learned and living in Japan at 15 on my own and um living over in China and Italy and uh I wrote uh because 2 months after I had my first son, my son, I turned 30, and so it was kind of like I was closing a chapter in my life, but there were just so many chapters to be written that I’d already been through and things people would have no idea about that you wouldn’t expect and um if you don’t know, I’ve been on my own since I was 15 so there’s a lot of stuff in the book that people don’t know about that um uh is pretty uplifting and there’s a lot of stories of redemption, not just about myself but other people in my life, so um it’s actually a really interesting book and I’ve gotten great feedback from it thank God so far, so I hope they enjoy it.
