Sound Bite: Meryl Streep – film tiring
Well I have a lot of energy (talks) its all been rung out of me by now. (talks) I was sore after the uhm running up those, all the steps to the chapel in the high heels cause all those stone steps, that’s a real place you know it actually exists and all the steps ? because the, each step is a different height so its very dangerous with the high heels and I had to go really fast cause the helicopter was chasing me.

Sound Bite: Meryl Streep – getting a lot of songs on the first take
Yeah but that’s just because that’s like but I was already by the time I came to the winner takes it all or some of the other ones I was I was already into this character so I felt it was like speaking do you know what I mean it wasn’t like making a song in a studio where you lift piece and then another piece I was living through this woman’s life and it’s a different kind of task then trying to be a good singer maybe.

Sound Bite: Meryl Streep – best song to perform
Yeah it’s a whole sort of ? of attempts (talks) dancing queen was really fun to do just because that gathering storm of all the woman joining in it was delicious and we were in one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been in the Northern Coast of the Aegean, the pillion that was where the little harbor was where we shot dancing queen. It was fun.

Yeah well I was surprised that people haven’t done this with you know other other music you know because if you have these songs in your head you’re already halfway to where you wanna be when you tell a story you already have the emotional hook in peoples hearts you know I think its Judy Krammer to her credit because she was the first one to imagine this when she was working as stage manager in London she had no money, she took all of her money and commissioned the script and then was not happy with it and then waited three more years till she saved more money and got Catherine until she got the script that she liked. I mean its just one persons crazy idea and she said she cant count how many people told her that will never work and here it is and its just giving pleasure to so many millions of people already just from the stage so maybe the movie will expand that even further that’s good we need more joy in the world.
