Research our database for detailed shot descriptions.

This half-hour TV program ran weekly in Chicago between the years 1963-1978. Created and directed by Sid Ordower, JUBILEE SHOWCASE is a virtual who's who of the greatest gospel performers of the last fifty years.

Absolutely amazing live performances by such gospel and blues artists as THE STAPLE SINGERS (their earliest known TV appearance), blues legend WILLIE DIXON, THE SOUL STIRRERS, THOMAS A. DORSEY, DIXIE AND THE DIXIE HUMMING BIRDS, DOROTHY LOVE COATS, JAMES CLEVELAND, and THE PILGRIM TRAVELERS are just a few of the hundreds of guests that appeared live on the program in its fifteen year run. The roots of blues, jazz, and soul are obvious in many of the stirring performances featured on the JUBILEE SHOWCASE.
