at the end of the 19th century and basically covers all aspects
of 20th century history as related to Denmark.
Extensive archival footage of news and actuality events including
such topics as The Royal Danish Family, W.W.I, The German Occupation
During W.W.II, Family Life in Denmark, Footage of Early Radio Broadcast,
Farming, and Soccer, are covered in great detail in the historical
films portion of the collection.
The other important part of this collection is the extensive musical
performances by internationally known performers who visited Denmark
circa 1950-2000. Artists seen in rare concert footage include, DUKE
ELLINGTON, THE ROLLING STONES, ELLA FITZGERALD, B.B. KING, THE NEWPORT
JAZZ FESTIVAL TOUR, MILES DAVIS, PEARL JAM, THE CURE, THE CLASH,
NIRVANA, U2, ERIC CLAPTON, IRON BUTTERFLY, and THE
GRATEFUL DEAD.
The Danish Broadcasting Corporation is Denmark's primary news
gathering organization and is represented exclusively in North America.
